Stalagmit – A mineral-driven white wine of profound structure and remarkable ageing potential

Stalagmit is a dry white wine made from the local Rukatac grape, grown in our organically farmed vineyards on the steep slopes of the Pelješac Peninsula, the same sites where Plavac Mali thrives. Cultivated in Dalmatia for centuries, Rukatac is exceptionally well adapted to the region's climate and is capable of producing wines of impressive structure and remarkable longevity. Stalagmit combines the grape's depth and finesse with vibrant freshness and a firm, well-defined structure.

Following hand harvesting, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with a short period of skin contact, adding complexity and texture while preserving the wine's elegance. The wine is aged for two years before release and continues to evolve beautifully in the bottle.

In the glass, it displays a deep golden-yellow colour with greenish highlights in its youth, gradually developing warmer amber tones with age. It is distinguished by its rich extract, pronounced minerality, and a long, clean finish.

The wine takes its name from the limestone formations found throughout our vineyards, symbolising its deep connection to the soil from which it is born.

Our wines

Our wines reflect the place, the grape variety, and the time in which they are made. They develop slowly, through a natural approach and years of ageing.
