Stagnum Poluslatki - a late-harvest wine with subtle sweetness

Stagnum Poluslatki is made from a late harvest of Plavac Mali grown in old, hand-tended vineyards on the southern slopes of the Pelješac Peninsula, in the Ponikve vineyard area. The grapes are harvested after reaching full ripeness, when they naturally achieve a high concentration of sugars and extract, but before drying on the vine.

Fermentation is spontaneous, using native yeasts, followed by ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels, where the wine gradually develops its balance and complexity.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby colour with delicate copper-brick hues at the rim. It is defined by the harmony of alcohol, extract, residual sugar, tannins, and freshness, preserving the fullness and structure characteristic of Plavac Mali while maintaining remarkable balance and elegance. A wine of exceptional gastronomic versatility, it can accompany a meal or be enjoyed with dessert, particularly dark chocolate. Its warmth and harmony also make it an excellent digestif.

Our wines

Our wines reflect the place, the grape variety, and the time in which they are made. They develop slowly, through a natural approach and years of ageing.

Visit us

A visit to the winery includes a guided tour of the cellar and an introduction to our approach to winemaking. This is followed by a tasting of our wines and olive oil in the very setting where they are created, overlooking the Pelješac landscape.

Philosophy

Our approach is rooted in respect for the vineyard and the natural course of winemaking. We believe that the character of each wine is shaped in the vine and the soil from which it comes.
