Stagnum Rosé - an unconventional food-friendly rosé made from Plavac Mali through natural pressing

Stagnum Rosé is made from Plavac Mali grapes grown on the hand-tended terraces of the southern slopes of the Pelješac Peninsula. It is produced through the natural pressing of freshly harvested grapes, without skin maceration, and fermented with native yeasts.

Thanks to the variety's small berries and thick skins, the wine retains a noticeable presence of phenolic compounds, revealing a more delicate yet unmistakably authentic expression of Plavac Mali. As a result, this rosé displays an uncommon depth and structure for its category, while presenting a delicate pale pink colour in the glass.

Freshness and vibrant fruit are evident from the first sip, yet the wine maintains impressive body, subtle spice, and a firm structure. A rosé of distinctive character and depth, it is designed to be savoured slowly at the table. Its structure and complexity make it a natural companion to a wide range of dishes - from raw fish and seafood to light meat dishes and mature cheeses, as well as aromatic and gently spicy cuisines such as Indian and Thai.
